Card profiles
Intermodal Card with a balance of Euros
The Intermodal Card topped up with a balance in euros, enables you to travel around Majorca by bus, train and metro. You only need to keep it topped up; the balance never expires.
Entry and exit validation
Validate your card when getting on and off the bus, by tapping in and tapping out at one of the validators close to the entry and exit doors. On the rail network, you must tap-in with your card to enter and tap out to exit the stations. The cost of the journey you have made will be deducted once you have completed your trip. Watch out! If you do not remember to validate, a penalty of €0.30 will be applied.
Transfers
You can make 2 transfers when travelling on 3 different lines (bus, train or metro), provided that no more than 60 minutes elapse between tapping out on one line and tapping in on the next. Good news! No matter how long the journey, you will never pay for more than 4 hops.
With the Intermodal Card you can also transfer for free between the TIB and EMT networks. You have 60 minutes to take the city bus from the moment you tap out from the TIB bus or train and, in the case of the reverse journey, first EMT and then TIB, 90 minutes from the moment you tap in on the EMT bus. If you only travel on the EMT bus, the amount of €1.15 is deducted from the balance of your Intermodal Card.
Balance top-up
- On board the bus, paying a multiple amount of €5 in cash to the driver (minimum top-up of €5 and maximum of €50).
- At ticket machines in train and metro stations, in cash or by credit card.
- You can also do it here:
