Applications can also be made online using the General State Administration’s Common Electronic Register (REC) (rec.redsara.es/registro). All you need is a digital certificate, then send the application to the Department of Mobility and Housing attaching the required documentation.
• Completed and signed form.
• Identity card: DNI, passport, driving licence or NIE.
• If there is no address in Mallorca on the DNI, a certificate of census registration must be submitted to prove residence on the island.
• Colour passport-size photograph
• In the case of a special Category (Pensioner, Large family, Student) a certificate must be presented to prove it.
• In order to make this online procedure easier, the town councils of Majorca are serving as collection points, so service users who carry out the procedure online need not go to the TIB offices and can collect the card directly from their town council.
